This animation was made following the theme of 'Norwich needs a superhero'!!! focusing on digital 2D lip-sync and character animation. I went for a multi-disciplinary approach combining hand-drawn, digital cut-out, rotoscoping and digital 3D animation techniques.

 

I experimented with time remapping in After Effects (to create the lip-sync), rigging 2D characters using parenting and puppet pin, rotoscoping using a combination of After Effects and Photoshop and creating 3D fire using fluid dynamics in Maya.
